The Latin American Center for Graduate Studies in Music has embraced a number of students from various countries throughout the Latin American region. Those countries include Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, and Uruguay. Students from Europe and the United States also participate in the activities of the Center.
With the considerable annual increase in Latin American student enrollment, the incorporation of new doctoral students, and the high number of Brazilian students (who, besides speaking a different language, represent another side of Latin American culture) the Center has enjoyed a strong, supportive atmosphere.
Almost all of the students are able to finance their studies through prestigious scholarships provided by their own countries' governments, the Organization of American States (OAS), or private institutions.
